I have been part of Seattle World School family for around five years and I have been helping newcomers interpreting and translating, guiding them through the school, and telling them who can help them out in different situations.
If there is something that I've learned and I've noticed in this time is that there are students that need a lot of help and support with their emotions. I have tried to help and support them with what I have, my own experience, but I know that I need to learn more about emotional support and trauma care to be able to do a better job helping my peers.
