Provide Healing Arts to kids, youth and natural disaster victims!

Hello Friends and Family!

For the last 3 years, I have been working hard toward my graduate degree with hopes of pursuing a career in art therapy. My dream has always been to work cross-culturally, specifically with those who have been displaced from their communities as either refugees or victims of natural disaster.

This September, I have an amazing opportunity to partner with and be trained in the healing arts through an incredible organization called First Aid Arts. First Aid Arts is an organization that equips workers engaged with traumatized populations with tools to bring healing through creative and expressive arts. I believe this training will provide invaluable skills and will be a key step as I begin to make connections with those working in the field.

In addition, this training will provide helpful tools as I begin my internship this Fall at Sound Mental Health, where I will be working therapeutically with kids and teens, many of whom come from refugee families.

Help me attend the First Aid Arts training so I can be equipped to use the creative, arts based intervention with displaced kids and teens.

As you can imagine, an opportunity like this is too good to pass up, however, I need your help. I'm currently attending grad school and working two jobs to pay for school out-of-pocket and make ends meet. The cost of this training is $450in addition to the cost of missing 3 days of work.
